Dickson Invested for Work at UAMS Northeast (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. Scott Dickson of Jonesboro, residency program director of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Northeast Regional Campus, was invested Feb. 6 in the Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield Dr. George K. Mitchell Endowed Chair in Primary Care.

Dickson attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in zoology. He received his medical degree from UAMS and completed his internship and residency training at UAMS Northeast Regional Campus, then joined the faculty there.


Lisa Smith has been named director of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Library in Little Rock. She replaces Jan Hart, who retired as library director in late 2019.

Mike Hernandez has been hired as the executive director of the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators in Little Rock.

Hernandez will begin working with Richard Abernathy, current AAEA executive director, July 1, extending through the end of the year. He will officially take the reins beginning Jan. 1, 2021.


Eundra Boles, Ellen Brown, Victoria Brown, Loris Fullerton and Claudia Utley have been named officers of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Alumni Association board of directors.

Boles is vice president of information technology services at CelerIT Solutions Corp., Ellen Brown is farmer engagement manager for Heifer USA, Victoria Brown is associate state director of AARP Arkansas, Fullerton is a travel agent with Westrock Travel and the 2019 recipient of UA Little Rock’s President’s Award, and Utley is the communications director of Economics Arkansas.

Kim Broadway, Paulette Lawson, Heather Nelson and Billy Roehrenbeck are new members of the UA Little Rock Foundation Fund Board.

Broadway is co-owner and managing partner of Broadway Security Inc., Lawson is the human resources business partner for FamilyLife, Nelson is president and chief operating officer of Seal Solar and Roehrenbeck is owner of Pulaski County Title.
