Dillard’s to Give $1M to Ronald McDonald House Charities

1 min read

Dillard’s Inc. of Little Rock said Friday that it will give more than $1 million to local chapters of Ronald McDonald House Charities.

This donation was made possible through the sale of the “Southern Living Christmas Cookbook.” For the sixth time, Dillard’s offered a special custom edition of the 288-page hardbound book to benefit RMHC.

With this year’s donation, the department store chain has given more than $11.4 million to local RMHC chapters since 1994.

“Over the past 20 years, Dillard’s has developed a strong and lasting bond with our local RMHC chapters,” Denise Mahaffy, Dillard’s vice president, said in a news release. “The work they do every day to bring comfort to children and families inspires us and makes the sale of the cookbooks an enormous source of pride and satisfaction.”

The nonprofit Ronald McDonald House Charities creates, finds and supports programs to improve the health and well being of children.
