Dr. Brian W. Bell has been named president and CEO of Arkansas Hospice of Little Rock. “Dr. Bell’s experience and proven leadership in both clinical and managerial roles make him the ideal candidate to lead our organization as we start our next chapter,” Rhonda Finnie, chair of the Arkansas Hospice board of directors, said in a news release.
Bell, who has worked in hospice care since 2006, joined Arkansas Hospice in August 2016 as vice president and chief medical officer. He is currently on the faculty of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, where he teaches hospice and palliative medicine fellows, and serves on the Professional Education Committee of the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization, which is now part of the National Alliance for Care at Home.
Bell attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and the University of Central Arkansas in Conway before receiving his medical degree from the UAMS College of Medicine. He is board-certified in both family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine and is a fellow of the Academy of Hospice & Palliative Medicine in Schaumburg, Illinois.
