Dr. Soriano-Baron Named Co-director of Spine Services at UAMS (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. Hector Enrique Soriano-Baron has been hired as co-director of spine services at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He serves as an assistant professor in the UAMS College of Medicine departments of neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery. He previously was in private practice and was on the faculty at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital of Albany, Georgia.

Natalie Amato has been appointed vice president of human resources at Baxter Health of Mountain Home. She has been with Baxter Health for more than a decade, serving in various human resources-related roles including senior human resources manager.


Ashleigh Kathiresan
Ashleigh Kathiresan (Washington Regional Medical System)

Ashleigh Kathiresan has joined Washington Regional Medical System as executive director of applications and IT portfolio management. She previously spent 10 years at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, most recently as director of clinical informatics.


Martha Malek has been hired as chief financial officer at Arkansas Urology of Little Rock. She previously was vice president of finance and administration at Care IV Home Health.


Dr. David Sterling
Dr. David Sterling (UAMS)

Dr. David Sterling has joined the department of surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as an assistant professor of plastic surgery. A board-eligible plastic surgeon, Sterling earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at McGill University in Montreal and his medical degree at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He completed his six-year integrated plastic surgery residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
