The Arkansas Rice Council and Arkansas Rice Farmers will hold its annual meeting and trade show beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday Jan. 30 in at the Grand Prairie Center in Stuttgart.
Ducks Unlimited CEO Dale Hall will headline the event, which will focus on waterfowl conservation and rice production.
“The Arkansas Rice Annual Meeting will provide insight into the U.S. rice industry’s new stewardship partnership with Ducks Unlimited,” Arkansas Rice Federation Executive Director Ben Noble said. “We are excited to work alongside a conservation group to preserve and expand the benefits that waterfowl, rice fields and water contribute to society.”
USA Rice President and CEO Betsy Ward will also attend, providing an update on USA Rice activities and outlining efforts to further promote the industry. Steve “Wildman” Wilson with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be master of ceremonies.
Arkansas Rice Farmers will also hold an election for its board of directors District 5 position.
