Mark Biggers
Mark Biggers has been named president of home improvement company E.C. Barton & Co. of Jonesboro.
He assumed his new role on June 1 and succeeded Niel Crowson. Biggers is the sixth president the 100% employee-owned company has had since it was established in 1885.
He graduated from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1998 and began his CPA career with Deloitte Accounting in Little Rock.
In 2002, Biggers transitioned into the private manufacturing and distribution industry, where he spent more than 17 years at what is now NBG Home, the parent company of Jimco Lamp. During his tenure there, he served as corporate controller and vice president of finance and administration. Biggers had been president of NBG’s Home Décor Division since 2014.
E.C. Barton & Co. said Biggers has joined a company that has seen steady growth this year across the 17 states it operates in. The company opened five new brick-and-mortar locations and is in the final stages of a rebranding initiative that will align its discount division (currently known as Surplus Warehouse and Bargain Outlet) under one flagship name: Home Outlet.
