Employees at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. of Bentonville raised nearly $1.3 million for Arkansas Children’s Hospital, according to the hospital’s foundation.

Employees at Walmart stores and Sam’s Club stores in Arkansas, northern Louisiana, eastern Texas and Oklahoma gave $1.28 million to the hospital through an annual in-store campaign to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Money raised at those stores go to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, according to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“Thanks to the fundraising support of Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, ACH will continue to reach all four corners of the state and champion children by making them better today and healthier tomorrow,” hospital CEO Marcy Doderer said.
