ERA Doty Real Estate Acquires Fred Dacus Associates

ERA Doty Real Estate of Jonesboro announced Thursday its acquisition of Fred Dacus Associates of Jonesboro, a move ERA Doty said would expand its presence in northeast Arkansas.

Founded in 1974, Fred Dacus Associates was ranked No. 26 on Arkansas Business’ most recent list of the state’s top residential real estate agencies, with sales of about $70 million in 2015. The company has 29 licenses agents — 11 of which were $2 million-plus producers last year.

In a news release, the companies said founders Fred and Brenda Dacus will remain with the firm, which will continue to operate under the ERA Doty Real Estate banner. ERA is a national real estate agencies franchise owned by publicly traded Realogy of Madison, New Jersey.

The combined firm will have 58 agents, plus administrative, marketing and support staff. The firms did not disclose financial terms of the merger.

ERA Doty said its headquarters will remain at its current location at 2209 Grant Ave. in Jonesboro, but added that it plans to buy and rebrand the Fred Dacus Associates building, which is at 2529 S. Caraway Road. ERA Doty also has an office in Flippin.
