Eric Heaney Appointed to Bentonville Advertising & Promotion Commission

Visit Bentonville announced the appointment of Eric Heaney to the Bentonville Advertising & Promotion Commission on Tuesday.

Heaney serves as general manager of Motto by Hilton Downtown Bentonville, with 12 years of hospitality experience, including nine years as general manager. Prior to joining Motto in November 2024, he worked in Broomfield, Colorado.

“Eric’s extensive hospitality expertise combined with his passion for outdoor recreation make him an excellent addition to the commission as we continue positioning Bentonville as a premier destination,” Kalene Griffith, president and CEO of Visit Bentonville, said in a press release.

The executive committee members of the commission are Chris Sooter, chairman; Luke Wetzel, vice chairman; and Daniel Hintz, secretary/treasurer. Other commissioners are Aubrey Patterson, Ricky Cortés and Patti Constantakis.

Visit Bentonville is funded by the Bentonville Advertising & Promotion Commission, which was established in 1996. The commission is supported by a 2% tax on lodging and meeting space and a 1% tax on restaurant and dining establishments. Visit Bentonville also collaborates with tourism offices throughout the state of Arkansas, aiming to create positive economic impact while increasing tourism amenities for both visitors and residents.
