1 min read

The Arkansas Tech University board of trustees has awarded a $1.1 million construction contract to EWI Constructors Inc. of Russellville for the renovation of the Industrial Control Systems Building at the ATU-Ozark campus.

The contract will be funded through a $1 million regional workforce grant from the Arkansas Division of Higher Education and funds from the ATU-Ozark educational and general fund, the university said in a news release.

The Industrial Control Systems Building, built in 1976, provides 6,000 SF of space for academic programs in automation, industrial electronics and computer information technology. The renovation plan calls for updated utilities, lighting and air systems, as well as an art automation lab space, improved handicap accessibility and roof upgrades.
