EZ Spanish Media, parent company of the KOLL-La Zeta 106.3 FM radio station in Little Rock and La Zeta 95.7 in Springdale, announced Wednesday that it raised $326,579 for Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
This money will support Arkansas Children’s Northwest, being built in Springdale; Children’s Hospital in Little Rock; and the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Southwest Community Little Rock Clinic set to open this summer.
The donation follows a $2 million contribution in late March from Packaging Specialities Inc. of Fayetteville to the $427.7 million northwest campus.
EZ Spanish Media said this was its largest fundraising year.
The fundraiser, the Creadores de Milagros (Miracle Makers) Radiothon, was aimed at bilingual Hispanic listeners and took place April 28-30 in northwest Arkansas. A second radiothon ran from April 21-23 in Little Rock.
The company said, over the past eight years, its radiothons have raised $1.9 million.
