“We’re optimistic about the future of Conway, and we want everyone else to know why they should be, too.”
That’s the message from FAB&T. After opening its first branch in the city in 2018, FAB&T is happy to be a part of the Conway team and is standing by to help people meet their financial needs.
“Conway is a vibrant city with growth-minded leaders in every facet of the community,” said FAB&T President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Wilson. “County and city leaders, chamber leaders, utilities and the business and faith communities work together so well in Conway that every initiative is a total team effort. Conway is a community unlike any other. The amount of can-do spirit and desire to come together for the overall betterment of Conway is so refreshing, and we can’t be any more excited to be a partner in the growth of the community.”
This year marks a significant milestone for FAB&T as it celebrates 75 years of serving the state of Arkansas and beyond.
“We are uniquely equipped to serve clients in Conway and Faulkner County because we have the size, strength, stability and local market knowledge to handle clients with large loan requests,” Wilson said. “At the same time, our lean organizational structure and the way we empower our branch teams and lenders allows them to efficiently make good decisions for the benefit of our customers and our communities. We offer big-time banking with hometown values and attention. We understand that our clients do not want to wait on decisions. Wasted time equals lost income for them, and we want to help them be as successful as possible…as quickly as possible.”
While the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce and the city’s economic development team put their efforts into attracting new businesses, FAB&T stands by to serve the newcomers as they open their doors.
“We are extremely pleased with the efforts of the city to attract and retain business in Conway. Their desire to grow a community matches our goals to provide resources and investments in the communities in which we serve. I believe that we are a perfect match for the city of Conway,” Wilson added.
From the outset, FAB&T has made it a point to be a part of things in Conway, investing in the Chamber and its vision and looking forward to what is to come. The family ownership — Larry Wilson, Mark’s father, is bank CEO — have been or are members of local commissions and boards and have helped promote local economic development while the bank has devoted numerous hours to local volunteer and community service work and has been a major contributor to local projects, such as Toad Suck Daze and several University of Central Arkansas events over the years.
Given the mutually beneficial relationship, it was easy for FAB&T to sign up to be part of this year’s Outlook Conway event.
“Conway is a city that gets it. Conway knows how to work together so that everyone is successful, and forward-thinkers are celebrated, empowered and supported,” Wilson said. “Outlook Conway is such a great event where we can network with other business leaders and hear what’s on the horizon for our shared community. We feel very fortunate and blessed to be in Conway.”
