Rebecca Burns Gosnell

Rebecca Burns Gosnell has been appointed to the board of the Magnolia Banking Corp. of Magnolia, holding company of Farmers Bank & Trust. She fills the seat previously held for more than four decades by her late father, Bob Burns.

Miguel Vega Jr.

Miguel Vega Jr. has been named director of mortgage production at Southern Bancorp Bank of Arkadelphia. Vega has nearly three decades of industry experience.

Tyler Spoon

Tyler Spoon has been promoted to community president for the Fayetteville region at the Bank of Fayetteville. Spoon began his banking career in Fayetteville in 2018 after retiring from professional baseball, where he played in the Boston Red Sox’s organization for nearly three years.

Economic Development

Leslie McColgan

Leslie McColgan has been appointed program director at the Conductor of Conway. Prior to joining the Conductor, McColgan was the director of physician network development at Conway Regional Medical Center.

Education

John Matsko has been named senior director of development at the College of Engineering of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. In addition, Erin Thomas has been named associate director of development.

Dr. Meagan Inclan, a board-certified pediatric dentist, has been appointed as an assistant professor at the Lyon College School of Dental Medicine of Little Rock. Inclan earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and a master’s degree in dental education and a postdoctoral certificate in pediatric dentistry from Saint Louis University.

Roger Moore

Roger Moore, chief financial officer and vice chancellor for finance and administration at Arkansas State University-Beebe, officially retired on Jan. 15. Moore began his career at ASU-Beebe in 1998.

Steven J. Beaupre

Steven J. Beaupre has been appointed dean of the graduate school at Arkansas State University of Jonesboro. Beaupre has almost three decades of academic experience in Arkansas, including six years as associate dean of the Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences, the largest academic unit at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Government

Jerry Halsey has been appointed to the Arkansas Highway Commission by Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Halsey fills the seat left vacant by Chairman Alec Farmer, who completed his 10-year term in January.

Jessica Wallace

Jessica Wallace, chief compliance officer of Financial Management Inc. of Little Rock, has earned the designation of investment adviser certified compliance professional from Comply Education of New York City.

Mark Rodriguez

Mark Rodriguez has been hired as a business development officer at Arkansas Capital Corp. of Little Rock. Rodriguez brings more than a decade of experience and knowledge as a Small Business Administration business development officer.

Chris Jennings and Jason Earley have announced the opening of Jennings & Earley PLLC of Little Rock. Other attorneys include Winston Hudson and Tyler Ewigleben, experienced litigation attorneys focused on consumer class actions.

Haley Dollarhide

Haley Dollarhide has been hired as the director of social media at One Country of Rogers.

Nonprofits

Janet Marshall has been promoted to chief development officer of Baptist Health Foundation of Little Rock. Marshall has served as the interim CDO for more than three months, and was previously the senior marketing, annual gifts and events officer.

Taylor Wiseman has been appointed executive director of the Arkansas Future Farmers of America Foundation Inc. of Little Rock. Wiseman previously was on the staff of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Natural Resources under Chairman Bruce Westerman of Arkansas.

Technology

Jericho Franklin has been hired as a client success consultant at Mainstream Technologies of Little Rock.

Transportation

Eddie Sorg has been named chief commercial officer at ArcBest of Fort Smith. Sorg’s promotion comes as the current chief commercial officer, Steven Leonard, plans to retire in June after a 24-year career with ArcBest. In addition, Christopher Adkins has been named chief strategy officer following his role as vice president of yield strategy and management, and Dennis Anderson will continue to serve as chief innovation officer.

Peyton Freeman

Peyton Freeman, a plant operator apprentice at Conway Corp., recently earned his class IV water treatment certification from the Arkansas Department of Health.
