Molly Rawn
The Fayetteville Advertising & Promotion Commission announced Friday that Molly Rawn has been hired as the new executive director, effective Aug. 8.
Rawn comes to the commission from the Scott Family Amazeum of Bentonville, where she was director of development and communications.
Rawn was previously the director of membership at KUAF Public Radio and assistant director of development at Fulbright College, both at the University of Arkansas. She also was the first director of development at the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter.
“The commission is thrilled Molly has accepted this position,” Matthew Petty, commission chair, said in a news release. “Her entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of regional opportunities make Molly well-suited to be Fayetteville’s next tourism director.”
As executive director, Rawn will oversee a $3.5 million annual operating budget and more than a dozen staff members. The commission operates the Fayetteville Town Center, Fayetteville Convention and Visitors Bureau, Fayetteville Visitors Center and Clinton House Museum. It also grants up to $350,000 per year to local proposals.
“I have called Fayetteville home for 11 years and I am eager to take on such an important role as an ambassador for our city,” Rawn said. “I look forward to promoting Fayetteville within our region, state and beyond.”
