FBI Names New Special Agent in Charge at Little Rock

1 min read

FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III on Monday named Randall C. Coleman special agent in charge of the FBI’s Little Rock Division.

Coleman replaced Valerie Parlave in the role. Parlave returned to FBI Headquarters in Washington D.C. after about two years in Little Rock. She joined the criminal investigation division there.

Coleman’s most recent prior position was as chief of the Counterespionage Section at FBI Headquarters.

Coleman began his career as a special agent with the FBI in 1997, and has worked in positions for the FBI’s Phoenix and San Antonio divisions. He provided management oversight to the investigation of the 2009 Fort Hood, Texas, shooting and dismantling of a terrorist smuggling operation.

Coleman served as an officer in the U.S. Army for nine years and is a decorated combat veteran.
