First Orion Eyes ExpansionLock Icon

You may recall First Orion Corp. moving into its $15 million five-story headquarters in North Little Rock’s Argenta district a little over a year ago.

But what might surprise you is that the tech company run by the former longtime CEO of Acxiom may already be outgrowing its new space.

This is what CEO and Chairman Charles Morgan told Whispers last week. “This is so preliminary that we are just doing an informational evaluation because it’s so difficult these days to get buildings built, and we’re pretty sure that we will need additional space by 2023.”

He said the company employs 370 people, and about 270 of them work from the Argenta building, which would be at capacity with 400 employees.

First Orion’s claim to fame, by the way, is its PrivacyStar app, which promises to identify smartphone callers and block unwanted calls. Morgan said the company is growing a lot because its offerings through T-Mobile and other carriers are achieving “good market acceptance.”
