First Security Bancorp of Searcy on Thursday said it had acquired three office buildings totaling 275,000 SF from fintech giant FIS at a corporate office park in Little Rock.
The financial services company said the 31 acres of space at 4001 N. Rodney Parham Road will house administrative and sales offices for First Security Bank Little Rock. The buildings, built in the early ’80s, will also be the new home of its investment banking firm Crews & Associates, which currently has offices in downtown Little Rock’s River Market and in west Little Rock on Highway 10.
A company spokesman said about 150 employees will be relocating. The move will take place sometime in 2023.
First Security declined to provide the price of the transaction, which had not hit public records late Thursday afternoon. The deal did not include a seven-story, 177,410-SF building on campus that FIS owns.
The campus is also home to Windstream Communications, which kept its 77,110-SF headquarters.
First Security said the new space will support future growth. Other plans for the property are still being developed.
“First Security and Crews & Associates are excited about the synergies and closer working environment this move will provide not only our company, but our business partners, as we look forward to the future growth of our company,” Reynie Rutledge, chair of First Security, said in a statement.
FIS provides First Security’s core banking system. The two companies have done business together for more than 40 years.
The property purchase was brokered through Cushman & Wakefield/Sage Partners, which represented FIS, and Colliers International Arkansas, which represented First Security.
