The Arkansas Trucking Association added five members to its board of directors at the organization’s annual conference in Hot Springs.
Two of the new members replaced members who transferred out of state or retired.
Lance Moll, the president and CEO of FedEx Freight in Memphis, replaced John Smith, who became CEO of FedEx Ground in Pittsburgh. Seth Runser, the president of ABF Freight in Fort Smith, took the spot of his predecessor in the position held by Tim Thorne, who retired as head of the ArcBest Corp. segment in June.
The other three directors are:
- Michael Barr, CEO of JM Bozeman Enterprises Inc. in Malvern;
- Rob Kibbe, managing director of client services at Aon Risk Services in Little Rock; and
- Patrick Simmons, vice president of transportation at Tyson Foods Inc. in Springdale.
Mark Morris, the chairman of the board, was re-elected to a second term. Morris is the CEO of Morris Transportation Services in Hamburg.
“We are happy to welcome these industry leaders to our board of directors, and congratulate Chairman Mark Morris on being elected to a second term,” ATA President Shannon Newton said. “Our board is made up of a diverse group of professionals, reflecting carriers and allied companies of all sizes, specialties and geographies that make up our association. Each of these directors plays a key role in helping identify and address priorities for the entire Arkansas trucking industry.”
