Flake & Co. to Merge With ARK Commercial Real Estate

1 min read

Little Rock commercial real estate firms Flake & Co. and ARK Commercial & Investment Real Estate have announced plans to merge effective Nov. 1.

The combined company will operate under the Flake & Co. name. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Flake & Co. currently has more than 1 million SF of property under management. It’s led by founder Jessica Flake Dearnley, daughter of industry leader John Flake.

ARK was founded in 2013 by Jeff Yates, an industry veteran of 30-plus years. He’s partnering with Dearnley at the combined company.

In a statement, Dearnley said Yates’ experience and expertise is “unparalleled.” The merger, she said, creates a commercial real estate “dream team.”

Yates has served on the Little Rock Planning Commission, the Commercial Real Estate Council of Metro Little Rock, the Building Owners and the Little Rock Realtors Association.

Flake called Yates “one of the leaders in Arkansas’ commercial real estate sector,” praising his record of “building long-term trusted relationships with his clients.”

“I’m looking forward to what we, together, can accomplish,” Flake said.
