Scott Reed’s Main Street Lofts project at 510-524 Main St. adds to his track record of overreaching, underfinanced, subsidy-supported, unfinished redevelopments.
An 11th-hour settlement ended a long-running money dispute related to the troubled Main Street Lofts project in downtown Little Rock.
The breach of contract lawsuit by Fleming Structural PLLC was tied to an $182,475 claim against the Scott Reed-led Main Street Lofts LLC and its bonding company, Travelers Casualty & Surety Co. of America.
Fleming Structural of Little Rock alleged it was owed for unpaid project management services for architectural and mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering work on the Main Street Lofts project.
Fleming had originally filed a lien in June 2014 and sued in January 2015 after Main Street Lofts called on its bonding company to make good.
The case had been scheduled for trial on Sept. 19.
