Flowers Receives National Honors (Movers & Shakers)

1 min read

Rep. Vivian Flowers, D-Pine Bluff, was named Legislator of the Year by the National Black Caucus of State Legislators at its recent conference.

Flowers is serving her third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives, where she represents District 17.

Michael Johnson has retired, again, from service as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Arkansas.

Johnson retired in 2010 after serving the Department of Justice continuously for 37 years. In 2018, he returned to prosecute racketeering and public corruption cases at the request of Cody Hiland, who resigned his appointment as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District on Dec. 31.
