FNBC Bank Loan of $150 in ’41 Writes Script for Video Award

1 min read

FNBC Bank of Ash Flat received national recognition from the American Bankers Association at the second annual ABA Bank Marketing Video Awards in New Orleans.

The 30-second video highlights the longtime relationship between the bank and Boyd Jackson of Ash Flat, FNBC’s oldest living customer. Jackson borrowed $150 in 1941 from the bank to buy a team of mules to farm.

“I’ve had an account with them ever since then,” says Jackson to conclude the footage.

“FNBC + Boyd Jackson = Better Together” was selected as the best bank marketing video in the category for banks with less than $500 million in assets. The award-winning video is one in a series of four customer testimonials produced for FNBC this year by Little Rock’s Thoma Thoma.

“This is the second round of our “Better Together” campaign,” said Molly Carpenter, vice president of marketing and public relations at FNBC.

The bank airs the video testimonials through social media, on its website and YouTube, as well as before the start of movies at the Highland Twin Cinema in Sharp County.

The $437 million-asset lender operates 10 full-service branches with a staff of 99 in five counties: Sharp, Fulton, Izard, Independence and Baxter. FNBC recorded a $2.9 million profit through the first nine months of 2017.
