FNBC Names Amber Sharp to Newly Created IT, Innovation Role

2 min read

Amber Sharp has joined FNBC Bank in a recently created role, as its senior vice president and chief information and innovation officer.

The bank said Sharp will provide leadership and direction to its information technology function as the bank continues to grow, and will lead its innovation initiatives to explore new technologies. She lives in Springdale and will work from the bank’s headquarters in Ash Flat, at 636 Ash Flat Drive, as well as offsite in northwest Arkansas.

“Creating and hiring this role has been on our radar for some time, especially as we’ve grown over the past several years,” President and CEO Marty Sellars said in a news release. “Like most things technology-related, Covid-19 has only accelerated our need to bring someone in to exclusively oversee our IT infrastructure and lead our organization into the future with strategic, customer-centric products and services. Amber brings a depth of knowledge in these focus areas to FNBC, but her leadership and organizational development skill sets may be the most impressive. We are thrilled to have her join our management team and to have her leading this important strategic transformation.”

Sharp most recently served as enterprise vice president of information technology at Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale, where she directed the company’s enterprise applications, software engineering, data, led large teams and more.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in horticulture and computer science from the University of Arkansas.

FNBC has 11 locations throughout north central and northeast Arkansas. As of Sept. 30, it had about $580 million in assets. Its newest office is being built in Jonesboro and is slated for an early January opening.
