Bold Team LLC, the state’s first operating medical marijuana cultivator, owes its name to four of its owners and executives: Brown, Orman, Lercher and Drennan.
All but Danny W. Brown are from Beebe.
Brown, owner of Willy D’s Rock & Roll Piano Bar in Little Rock and several other businesses, has a 24.5 percent stake and is CEO of Bold Team, headquartered in Cotton Plant (Woodruff County). Cayne Orman, who eventually took no ownership in Bold Team, serves as director of inventory and quality control, is a Beebe pest control and construction entrepreneur.
Orman’s hometown friend Kyndall Lercher, a registered nurse and 25.5 percent owner, is medical director; her husband, Customer Relations Director Robert Lercher, played football and basketball for the Beebe Badgers.
The Beebe connection continues in Misty and Mark Drennan, 25.5 percent and 24.5 percent owners, respectively. Mark serves as COO; Misty as director of human resources.
Robert Lercher, who calls Beebe “the best town in the state, maybe the country,” is owner and president of Qwik-Way Dent Technology of McRae (White County), a business specializing in fixing cars damaged by hail. Orman owns Orman Construction and Statewide Pest Control of Beebe, founded in 2002, which services more than 2,000 pest control contracts at businesses and homes throughout the state. Orman Construction has built more than 100 homes in Arkansas and does remodeling, roofing and other services. Those details are included in documents filed with the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission.
Kyndall Lercher works in the pre-operative care unit at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, from which she took her nursing degree.
Misty Drennan is a real estate agent with 11 years of experience in human resources, payroll and regulatory compliance as a former regional HR coordinator and payroll supervisor for CenturyLink. There, she handled recruitment, drug screenings and orientations.
Mark Drennan is load coordinator for ABF, the freight and logistics company that’s part of ArcBest Corp. of Fort Smith. He also co-owned and operated a licensed construction and excavation business, as well as partnering with Orman in Orman & Drennan Roofing LLC of Beebe.
Brown, a University of Arkansas accounting graduate, is probably the best known business figure in the bunch. Along with Willy D’s, he is founder and president of RBD Construction of Pine Bluff and a former CFO and general manager of Planters Oil Mill Inc. in Pine Bluff. He was an Arkansas Business 40 Under 40 honoree in 2000 and went on to own Mayflower RV.
Other Bold Team leaders include Director of Cultivation Alex Stanish, a Penn State graduate and cultivation manager at Apothecary Farms, a marijuana enterprise in Colorado Springs; Director of Processing Aki Smith, lab director at International Bioceutical of San Diego and a biochemistry graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York; Director of Security Barry Flannery, a longtime Little Rock Police Department detective; and CFO Dale W. Lang, revenue manager of UAMS-Medical College Physicians Group.
