State officials are working to finalize a contract to get a Little Rock residential redevelopment project back on track.
The Arkansas Development Finance Authority chose Ford Properties Homes LLC of Little Rock to pick up where Scott Reed left off.
Reed’s lack of progress on the original 30-property project led to his exodus earlier this year. The restart will be scaled back to 17 homes with the same March 2013 deadline intact.
“We’re hoping to start before Memorial Day,” said Chris Ford of Ford Properties.
Of the original $1.8 million in time-sensitive Neighborhood Stabilization Program funding, $1.58 million remains.
