Chris Kane
Chris Kane’s career has shifted from “Daybreak” to sunshine.
A former KATV morning anchor, Kane left the station in August and has joined Delta Solar of Little Rock as a business developer. He had spent a dozen years at Channel 7, starting in sports before shifting to morning news for more than a decade.
Kane said in a news release that his career as a journalist had led to relationships with Arkansas community and business leaders, and he’s eager to update them on the benefits of renewable energy.
“I’m looking forward to this new role to help expand Delta Solar’s reach …,” he said in the release. “Most importantly, I am excited to help deliver sustainable benefits for clients.”
CEO Douglas Hutchings said Delta felt fortunate to add Kane to its roster. “We tend to have a different philosophy than most when it comes to developing and delivering on a solar project. Chris shares the same focus on long-term relationship-building and is a valued addition to the team.”
A Little Rock native enchanted by the Jacksonville Jaguars after moving to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, at age 10, Kane got a radio and television journalism degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, but he never lost his fervor for the Razorbacks, and he covered them extensively.
