OK, so it doesn’t rank up with his 4-18 record (and 0-14 in the SEC) in less than two seasons as football coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks, but Chad Morris lost $1,000 on the sale of his Fayetteville home.
Morris, now the offensive coordinator at Auburn, and his wife, Paula, put their palatial estate up for sale after the Razorbacks fired him in November. The five-bedroom, 11,023-SF house boasts a 1,928-SF guest house and, at $3.8 million, was the most expensive home bought in northwest Arkansas in 2018.
The home sold in late December for $3,799,000. The buyer was BC & Beyond LLC of Round Top, Texas, led by Denton and Cathy Seilhan.
Morris will probably be able to manage. He received a $10 million buyout from Arkansas after his dismissal, a sum that will be offset by his Auburn salary.
The home is in the exclusive Bridgewater Estates subdivision in Fayetteville. Morris bought it from Stuart and Melanie Scott. Stuart Scott is the chief information officer at J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. of Lowell.
The Scotts did well with their sale. They paid $1.18 million for the property in 2015.
