Former KARK News Director Takes Ohio Job

If you’ve wondered what became of Rob Heverling, the former KARK-TV, Channel 4, news director, you’re in luck.

Dan Salamone, news director of WOIO-TV, Channel 19, a CBS affiliate in Cleveland, told Whispers he could “confirm enthusiastically” that Heverling began working as his assistant news director last month.

Heverling worked at KARK about seven years, but wrapped up his employment there March 2 along with Assistant News Director Jeff Whatley and Executive Producer Stephanie Jackson. KARK General Manager Mike Vaughn declined to explain the circumstances of their departure.

Heverling previously worked in Cleveland about 10 years ago as an executive producer for WKYC-TV, Channel 3.
