Former Motel 6 Sells for $4.25M (NWA Real Deals)Lock Icon

A California real estate investment group paid $4.25 million for a hotel on North College Avenue in Fayetteville.

Dwellist, led by co-founders Charlie Mackey and Polly Watts of Palos Verdes Estates, bought the former Motel 6 opposite the Fiesta Square shopping center. Mackey is a 2009 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

The company bought the property through its Motelier Fayetteville LLC. The hotel sits on 2.8 acres and has 97 rooms totaling 35,832 SF. Sterling Bank of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, provided a loan of nearly $6.5 million.

The seller was RSH Hospitality LLC of Parker, Texas, led by Santosh Jayal, Honey Goel and Ravi Pritmani. The group acquired the property for $3.2 million in 2019.

Springdale Storage Complex

Colorado investors paid $9.25 million for a self-storage facility in Springdale.

Spartan Investment Group of Golden, through its Freeup Storage Springdale Elm Springs Road LLC, bought the complex on Elm Springs Road. Spartan is led by CEO and co-founder Scott Lewis.

The complex has 760 units totaling 55,500 SF. It sits on 9 acres. Arvest Bank provided a loan of $13.6 million.

The seller was AJ Properties No. 1 LLC, led by Brian Johnson of Bentonville. He acquired the four-tract property for $194,000 in 1999.

Plastic Surgery Merger

Two plastic surgeons in northwest Arkansas are now partners after a $1.9 million acquisition.

Stephanie Koonce, through her Ecosse Plastic Surgery LLC, bought a 6,307-SF medical office on East Joyce Boulevard in Fayetteville. Koonce, a plastic surgeon, owns the Ecosse clinic in Rogers.

Koonce bought the Vanderpool Cosmetic Plastic Surgery clinic from Douglass Vanderpool, also a plastic surgeon.

On its website, the clinic said Koonce was relocating Ecosse’s main office to the Joyce facility.

Vanderpool acquired the property for $1 million in 2008.

Washington Regional Land

Washington Regional Medical Center paid $5.8 million for 13-plus acres on West Drake Street in Fayetteville.

The land is adjacent to the medical center on North Northhills Boulevard. In 2021, the medical center, led by CEO Larry Shackelford, acquired 15 acres off Drake Street for $6.6 million.

In both deals, the seller was 1155 Properties LLC, led by Neal Pendergraft of Fayetteville. Pendergraft remains the owner of 29 acres located between the two Washington Regional parcels.

Leverett Avenue Apartments

An apartment complex on Leverett Avenue in Fayetteville sold for $1.7 million.

Daugherty Commercial LLC, led by Jason Daugherty of Fayetteville, bought the half-acre complex.

The complex has 10 units totaling 8,840 SF.

Century Bank of the Ozarks of Gainesville, Mo., provided a loan of $1.4 million.

The seller was 820 Properties LLC, led by Ray and BriAnne Schlegel. The Schlegels acquired the property for $1.5 million in 2024.

Dunn Apartments

An apartment complex on South Dunn Avenue in Fayetteville sold for slightly more than $1.6 million.

Neill and Jessica Bennett bought the 0.75-acre property through their Dunn Development Holdings LLC. The complex has 14 units totaling 7,944 SF.

First State Bank in Fayetteville provided a loan of $1.3 million.

The seller was Dunn Avenue Properties LLC, led by Stephen Brooks of Fayetteville.

Brooks acquired the property for $865,000 in 2021.
