Fort Smith Office Park Getting Makeover

A Fort Smith office complex changed hands recently and will undergo a much-needed renovation.

Green Meadow Properties LLC, led by Joseph Meadows of Meadows Construction, paid $789,000 for the approximately 35,000-SF Woodcrest Office Park at 2120 S. Waldron Road. Meadows bought the park from Shields & Mille Properties, led by Fianna Hills Country Club owners Jim Shields and David Mille.

Shields and Mille purchased the park for $862,000 in 2001.

Meadows said his partnership plans to spend another $500,000 renovating the park, which is approximately 60 percent occupied. Meadows said he has spoken with most of the current tenants about the renovation and the expectation that lease rates will go up.

“This is a good first project, and we’re going to give it a facelift,” he said.
