Spencer Jones is attracting investment for another startup.
Jones, one of the state’s up-and-coming entrepreneurs, won the 2014 ARK Challenge in Little Rock and a $150,000 investment with his Jones Innovative Medical Solutions.
A registered nurse by trade, he developed a way to draw multiple painless IVs and hooked up with central Arkansas medical device investor David DePoyster to commercialize the product.
But Jones is full of ideas, based on his experiences at CHI St. Vincent in Little Rock.
His ARK startup led to the launch of LineGuard Med to develop SafeBreak, a device engineered to protect IV access devices from accidental dislodgment.
Jones tells us that LineGuard currently is closing a fundraising round of $750,000 that includes two Arkansas-based angel investors and two Arkansas-based investment groups.
