Garver of North Little Rock, the 1,200-employee engineering, planning and environmental firm, appointed Laura Nick as its chief communications officer recently, part of a series of recent promotions and hires.
Nick, who has been with the firm for 12 years and launched Garver’s competitive recruitment program and its employee-driven charitable giving program, earned a degree in journalism from Arkansas State University. She leads Garver’s 30-member communications team, overseeing branding, strategic marketing and internal and external communications for the firm.
Kate Cox was promoted to client services project manager and Garver Gives project manager. She joined Garver’s communications team in 2022 as a tradeshow specialist. She has a bachelor’s in business management and human resources from Louisiana Tech University. Sydney Clifford joined the firm as a client services project manager on the communications team, based in Garver’s downtown Little Rock office. She manages internal client relations and communications, including the employee-owned firm’s wellness program. Clifford has a degree from the University of Mississippi in Oxford.
Katelyn Myers was hired as Garver’s events and trade shows planner. She will work from the downtown Little Rock office, coordinating with business line teams countrywide to execute events and industry trade shows.
