
Poultry products producer George’s Inc. of Springdale announced Monday that it has acquired Campos Foods LLC from Lopez Foods Inc. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The 85,000-SF Campos Foods plant is located in Caryville, Tennessee and employs 285 people. It is a producer of fully cooked pork, beef and turkey products servicing the retail, food service and convenience store channels.
George’s Co-CEO Charles George said in a news release that this acquisition further enhances his company’s value-added protein portfolio.
“The addition of Campos Foods fits as part of our overall growth strategy and continued focus on adding value for our customers and stakeholders,” he said.
George’s Co-CEO Carl George said, “The team at Campos Foods has a proven track record of producing premium protein products for a wide variety of customers; we are excited to add their capabilities to our existing operations.”
