What sizable Little Rock property was listed for $6.7 million but sold recently for $2.47 million?
That would be the 572,800-SF industrial facility at 7400 Scott Hamilton Drive. The buyer was Goodwill Industries of Arkansas Inc. The seller was I-30 Land Co. LLC, led by Rick Ferguson and Gene Cauley.
Arkansas economic development leaders and Gov. Mike Beebe plan to make an announcement about the sale and Goodwill’s plan for the site at a news conference on Tuesday.
The empty, 572,800-SF facility is adjacent to property leased by LM Wind Power.
2012 marks the 85th anniversary of Goodwill Industries of Arkansas. The nonprofit has been expanding since 2008, when Brian Itzkowitz became director.
Since then, the organization created more than 200 jobs and job placement for more than 1,000, and the number of people Goodwill serves has grown from 1,060 to more than 5,000 in 2011.
More on the Property
The site, a 57.3-acre former Lucent Technologies development, wasn’t the only collateral securing a $4.77 million IberiaBank loan.
The remaining debt is tied to an undeveloped 80-acre tract owned by Ferguson’s 2610 Acres LLC.
