Goodwill Opening Retail and Donation Center at Riverdale Center

1 min read

Goodwill Industries of Arkansas announced plans to open a new retail, donation and career services facility at the Riverdale Center in Little Rock.

The location on Cantrell Road will be the nonprofit’s 37th retail site in Arkansas. It has an opening date of Dec. 8.

As with other Goodwill retail locations, the Riverdale location will offer clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories, housewares, books, linens, games, athletic equipment and furniture, in addition to other merchandise. The donation drop-off will be located on the back side of the building.

The career services center will be Goodwill’s 27th in the state. It will feature a conference room and staff to meet the needs of those seeking career assessment, counseling and coaching services, such as interview preparation, job readiness training, job search assistance, and resume assistance.

Goodwill plans to open amid a redevelopment of the 214,253-SF shopping center that includes upgrades to the building façade, paint, parking lot and landscaping, among other improvements. Xcited Riverdale LLC, a group of Arkansas partners formed by T.J. Lefler of Lefler Capital of Fayetteville, purchased the property for $16 million in May.

“Riverdale is undergoing a revitalization and we are happy to be partnering with this retail community,” Brian Marsh, CEO of Goodwill Industries of Arkansas, said in a news release. “A new store opening means we are directly impacting Arkansas’ workforce. It will also provide us with another opportunity to turn revenue from donated goods into education, training and employment for Arkansans.”
