
Harding University of Searcy has named two new department chairs.
Daniel Adams, professor of art, was named chair of the Department of Art & Design. He replaces John Keller, who will be returning to the classroom full time. Keller had served as department chair since 1999 and has been on the department’s faculty since 1979. Adams has been at Harding since 1991 and was promoted to the rank of professor in 2006.
Jim Miller, assistant professor of communications, was named chair of the Department of Communication.
Miller replaces Jack Shock, who is also returning to the classroom full time. Shock has taught at Harding since 1985. Miller joined the university as faculty in 2004. As well as serving as adviser for student publications, Miller has directed both the mass communication program and Honors Media & Culture summer program.
