Harrell Installed as Arkansas Bankers Association Chairman

Jonathan Harrell on Tuesday was installed as the 2020-21 chairman of the Arkansas Bankers Association at the ABA Membership Meeting. 

Harrell is chairman and CEO of Generations Bank of Rogers and president and CEO of Harrell Bancshares Inc. of Camden. He is the fifth generation to lead the management team of Generations Bank, leading the bank into the northwest Arkansas market and growing total assets by more than 78% since 2013. 

Harrell’s banking career began with the Arkansas State Bank Department in 1988. He is a graduate of The Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University, and he previously served a three-year term on the association board and was its 2019-20 chairman-elect.

Other officers installed include chairman-elect Jim Cargill of Arvest Bank, Little Rock; Vice Chairman Randy Scott of Farmers Bank and Trust, Blytheville; and Treasurer Tom Grumbles of First Service Bank, Greenbrier.
