Hathaway Group Plans Move From Riverdale to The Heights

Commercial real estate firm Hathaway Group of Little Rock announced plans to move from its office in Riverdale to a location in the Heights neighborhood.

The space at 5012 and 5016/5018 Kavanaugh Blvd., known as Country Club Station, is being redeveloped by owner Merritt Dake. In addition to Hathaway Group, it will be home to Heights Corner Market, Heights Fine Wines & Spirits, and a location of breakfast chain The Buttered Biscuit.

Hathaway Group is set to take over the entire 9,148-SF building at 5012 Kavanaugh on Nov. 1. Built in 1924 as a grocery store, the property is being turned into professional offices custom-designed for the real estate brokerage firm, Hathaway Group said in a news release.

“Our firm is often referred to as a ‘boutique brokerage’ — we treat our clients like family members and close friends — and this new office, with its neighborhood feel, wide sidewalks, and numerous shops and restaurants within easy walking distance, is the perfect fit for our way of doing business,” Jeff Hathaway, president of the real estate firm, said in the release.

Dake acquired the site last year in two transactions totaling $3.05 million. He was represented in the acquisitions by Wes Martin, a principal and broker with Hathaway Group
