Employment in the Arkansas health care and social assistance sector reached 189,137 in the first quarter of 2024, according to the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services.
It has shown continued growth since the pre-pandemic peak of 181,852 in the first quarter of 2020.
The sector accounted for 17.1% of all Arkansans employed.
