Heartland Forward Names J.T. Geren as New Director of Strategic Communications (Movers & Shakers)

J.T. Geren has been hired as the director of strategic communications at Heartland Forward of Bentonville. Geren previously led communications and marketing for Runway Group, a Bentonville-based holding company for Tom Walton and Steuart Walton’s investments in outdoor recreation, hospitality, aviation and real estate.

Bryant Taylor has been hired as the vice president of donated goods at Goodwill Industries of Arkansas in Little Rock. Tayor will oversee the strategic operation and administration of 35 retail stores, donation acquisition, e-commerce and effective mission integration within Goodwill’s retail locations. Additionally, Louis Alderman has been hired as the director of operations of Goodwill Industries of Arkansas. Alderman will lead the organization’s outlet and production teams at both the Little Rock and Rogers Goodwill Resource Center locations.

Thompson has more than 20 years of recruiting experience across multiple industries, including financial services, accounting and finance, human resources, technology, health care, manufacturing and sales.

Steven Baker has been promoted to hospitality lead at HFA Architecture & Engineering of Bentonville. Baker has been with HFA for more than a decade, developing and managing teams serving restaurant and hospitality clients.


Danita High (First Community Bank)

Danita High has been promoted to senior vice president of culture and employee development at First Community Bank of Batesville.


Rhonda O’Guinn, an outreach and communications specialist with the Arkansas State Office of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency, has retired after 35 years of service.
