Ritter Communications of Jonesboro announced the promotions of Heath Simpson to president and chief operating officer and Lexanne Horton to CFO.
Simpson joined Ritter in 2020 as CFO, and his responsibilities have grown to essential functions of the company beyond areas of finance. In his new role, Simpson will direct the company’s activities in finance, information technology, project management, customer experience, field operations, facilities and human resources. In a statement, CEO Alan Morse praised Simpson’s “wisdom, temperament and focus on the customer, the community and our employees.”
Horton has been with the company since 2015. She has served as vice president/controller since 2019. In her new role as CFO, Horton oversees all accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury management, billing, risk management, supply chain management and purchasing activities. Morse said, “Lexanne has performed exceptionally, possessing the knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed in the CFO role for years to come.”
Ritter said Simpson and Horton were promoted as part of a “reorganization to better serve the company in advancing its business goals.” Other changes include:
- Susan Christian, a 17-year veteran of the company, was promoted to chief marketing officer
- Kyle Keith was promoted to chief revenue officer, a role in which he’ll be responsible for all market development, sales, revenue generation and customer retention
Morse said the new management structure was adopted to “ensure we continue to improve our operational efficiency, customer experience and competitive positioning.”
