Sarah Donaghy
Sarah Donaghy has joined the staff of Hendrix College as coordinator of community partnerships, a new position focused on building mutually beneficial relationships with diverse community organizations in central Arkansas.
The college said this position formalizes and strengthens its focus on partnerships that contribute to positive career and employment outcomes for graduates, internships, community-based research, service-learning or Odyssey experiences.
Peter Gess, associate provost for engaged learning, said in a news release, “As students prepare for life after Hendrix, these types of experiences help bridge the transition to what’s next. With her background that spans the private, governmental, and nonprofit sectors, we’re thrilled to have Sarah heading up this effort.”
Donaghy most recently served as the development director of KUAR and KLRE Public Radio in Little Rock, and previously worked for the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation and Heifer International. She also spent more than a year on a “radical sabbatical,” serving a variety of organizations in diverse roles, the college said.

The community partnerships position is funded with a portion of a $500,000, three-year grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
