In January, workers with Arkansas Sign & Neon Co. installed a smaller sign at the Herbology medical marijuana dispensary on Kanis Road in Little Rock.
The long-awaited Herbology medicinal marijuana dispensary on Kanis Road in Little Rock will open Wednesday, according to company officials with Grassroots Cannabis, that national company operating the outlet.
Herbology, the first Little Rock dispensary to seek state inspection, had originally announced an October opening, but that plan was pushed back. The 7,375-SF dispensary, formerly Joubert’s Tavern at 7303 Kanis Road, will open at 10 a.m., and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned at 2 p.m., officials said.
Grassroots Cannabis, according to a news release, is one of the largest multistate cannabis companies in the nation with facilities in Illinois, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Maryland, Oklahoma, Ohio, Vermont, North Dakota and Connecticut.
“We are excited to launch our presence in Arkansas with this location, sharing our unparalleled expertise to provide patients access to safe and effective medical cannabis products,” said Matt Darin, Grassroots Cannabis’ COO. “The Herbology experience enhances the communities we serve.”
The dispensary, which will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays, will feature a waiting room, consultation rooms and 11 sales stations, more than any dispensary yet opened in the state. Available products will include cannabis flower, vapes, extracts and oils, topicals and concentrates.
Grassroots Opco, the ownership company, is led by Lindsey Lovett Estes with a 70.2% stake, and Lesley Claire Darnal with 20.1%.
Little Rock’s first operational dispensary, Harvest House of Cannabis just a quarter-mile from Herbology at 900 S. Rodney Parham Road, opened last week. Pulaski County’s third and last licensed medicinal cannabis outlet, Natural Relief Dispensary on East Kiehl Avenue in Sherwood, is in its final sprint to opening. It is owned by Brian Faught.
