Here’s North Little Rock’s Top 10 Electric Customers for 2014

1 min read

For the first time this year, we’ve added some municipal electric departments to our annual list of the state’s electric utilities.

We reached out to Conway, Jonesboro and North Little Rock, the largest of the 14 municipalities in the state that sell electricity to their residents.

North Little Rock Electric responded by sending us to an annual report for bondholders, which contained more than just the revenue and the kilowatt hours sold.

It also included a list of the city’s top 10 electric customers and how much they paid to keep the lights on last year:

  1. VA Medical Center, $1.86 million
  2. Union Pacific Railroad, $1.79 million
  3. L’Oreal USA, $1.68 million
  4. Wal-Mart Stores Inc., $1.26 million
  5. Caterpillar Inc., $1.2 million
  6. Tyson Foods Inc., $1.12 million
  7. Baptist Health Springhill, $1.01 million
  8. St. Vincent North, $601,000
  9. All American Poly Corp., $520,000
  10. Tenenbaum Co. Inc., $518,000

Now don’t you feel better?
