Herget’s Next Move to Deliver Doctors to Mobile AppLock Icon

1 min read

Ryan Herget, the Little Rock entrepreneur who earlier this year sold his restaurant meal-delivery service Chef Shuttle to Bite Squad, a meal-delivery service based in Minneapolis, is raising money for his next business venture, a mobile app that lets patients communicate directly with doctors in real time.

The Arkansas Legislature earlier this year amended the state’s telemedicine law governing the way virtual care is delivered. The law will allow patients to receive telemedicine services wherever they happen to be, rather than having to visit a health care facility.

Herget’s telemedicine platform would take advantage of this loosening of telemedicine restrictions.

Herget, discussing the sale of Chef Shuttle, whose name he and a couple of partners had bought in 2014, told Arkansas Business in May that when he became involved in Chef Shuttle, he had two goals: creating a company that offered customers convenience and capitalizing on the eventual consolidation of the on-demand meal-delivery sector.
