High School Teacher Brian Lee Becomes SixtyOne Celsius Copywriter

1 min read

Brian Lee will bring a creative writer’s mindset to a copywriting position at the Hot Springs advertising agency SixtyOne Celsius, led by Stephanie Alderdice.

Lee, who is completing a master’s in creative writing through the University of Texas at El Paso, has taught English for the past 12 years at Lake Hamilton High School. He has an undergraduate degree in English and creative writing from the University of Arkansas, as well as a master’s degree.

“We are excited to have Brian join our team,” said Alderdice, president of SixtyOne Celsius, a full-service firm with offices in downtown Hot Springs. The agency’s name refers to the temperature of Hot Springs’ namesake thermal waters: 61 degrees celsius is about 142 degrees Fahrenheit.

Alderdice said Lee’s “uncanny ability to think strategically and write creatively” will make him an asset in “advertising, marketing, web design and beyond.”

Lee was a member of the Northwest Arkansas chapter of the National Writing Project, where he lobbied state lawmakers for literacy funding, and he served as co-coordinator of the Teenswrite and Kidswrite creative writing summer camps.
