Hitco Carbon Composites to Expand Arkadelphia Operations

Hitco Carbon Composites Inc. of Gardena, Calif., has announced an expansion of its manufacturing operations at Arkadelphia that will add more than 60 jobs over the next five years.
The expansion represents an additional investment of $1.8 million, bringing total investments at Arkadelphia to $5.9 million.
The expansion at the Clark County Industrial Park will support the increasing demand for Hitco’s aircraft insulation components,
The company has been manufacturing high-performance insulation for aircraft for more than 30 years and has seen its business grow with the expansion of worldwide air travel. It also sells insulation products to aircraft manufacturers and airline operators around the world and produces a fabric that is a component on the space shuttle.
Hitco said it will invest in new equipment to be installed over the next several months to build up its manufacturing operations. Training and recruitment for new employees will begin this fall with production beginning in 2008.
SGL Group, which is based in Wiesbaden, Germany, has more than 30 production sites in North America, Europe and Asia.
