When owner Eddie Pitonyak purchased North Little Rock store Inside Effects, he already had several years of business experience in the family’s farm equipment company.
Pitonyak bought Inside Effects in late December 2013 and opened Outside Effects as an outdoor equipment addition to the business’ offerings.
Inside Effects’ focus is natural stone granite, marble countertops, kitchen cabinets and house project tools, while Outside Effects sells outdoor kitchen equipment. The businesses’ employees provide consulting, computer-assisted design and full installation.
With the help of his son, General Manager Dustin Pitonyak, in launching Outside Effects, moving became necessary.
“This relocation will provide all of Central Arkansas customers easier access to an inviting free-standing building in a very nice location, which matches our upscale product and service offerings,” Dustin Pitonyak said in a news release.
The Pitonyaks originally leased Inside Effects at its former location in Little Rock before buying a 26,000-SF location in North Little Rock’s Northshore Business Park this year.
Inside Effects and Outside Effects moved from South Shackleford Road in Little Rock to the former Competitive Cyclist building in Northshore Business Park at 5050 Northshore Lane in North Little Rock.
While the purchase was significant for the Pitonyaks, it also followed another noteworthy purchase, the 2013 acquisition of their Pitonyak Machinery Corp. farm equipment business by TVV Capital. Pitonyak farming products are now sold under the Bigham Brothers label, a TVV portfolio company.
Since the family bought Inside Effects and opened Outside Effects, Eddie Pitonyak said, the number of employees has doubled. The company employs 20 people.
Pitonyak added that his businesses offer high-quality products to residential and business consumers, Pitonyak said, adding, “You get what you pay for.”
