CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs

CHI St. Vincent is a regional health network serving Arkansas since 1888 with a history of many firsts. Headquartered in Little Rock, the network includes primary care, specialty clinics, urgent care, hospitals, home health, rehabilitation and surgery centers across the state. Part of CommonSpirit Health, the nonprofit Catholic health system operates the 280-bed CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, which serves the local community and patients throughout southwest Arkansas. According to hospital officials, it’s the only Level II trauma center in the southwest part of the state, and CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs serves as a regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, neurosciences, orthopedics, oncology and critical care/pulmonary issues.

National Park Medical Center

National Park Medical Center

National Park Medical Center began operating in 1954, when the Ouachita Memorial Hospital was founded with a goal to meet the needs of Garland County and surrounding communities. It was replaced by National Park Medical Center in 1985, and in 2016, the hospital added a 67,000-SF Heart and Vascular Center of Central Arkansas and Emergency Department expansion.

NPMC served nearly 29,000 patients in 2021, including those from surrounding areas, according to the latest Arkansas Business list research. The hospital currently has 163 beds and roughly 450 full-time equivalent employees in Hot Springs.

Today, NPMC also works closely with organizations in the community to provide others with education about health and wellness, and provide public services of health screenings, health fairs, seminars and support groups. Officials say the mission is “Making Communities Healthier.”

Levi Hospital

Levi Hospital

Since 1914, Levi Hospital has served Hot Springs and central Arkansas, working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and offering crucial health care services to those in need, including inpatient psychiatry, medication management, outpatient behavioral health counseling, physical rehabilitation therapy and bone density screening.

The team of mental health professionals works to help patients cope with unresolved conflicts, physical and emotional trauma, and mental health conditions. Through individualized treatment plans, Levi provides the support and healing necessary when life’s pressures become too much to handle. 

Levi Hospital specializes in physical therapy services, where rehabilitation experts deliver personalized care to patients recovering from injuries, illnesses or surgeries. The PT facility features a 3,000-square-foot gym and a 50-foot by 20-foot therapy pool filled with the thermal waters of Hot Springs National Park. Levi offers an over-the-head support system for improving balance and stability without the fear of falling and provides dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry scan bone density scanning, a very accurate and reliable diagnostic tool for monitoring bone health.
