Howard Walker Takes On Development Role at IFB Solutions (Movers & Shakers)

Howard Walker has been named manager of development and awareness at IFB Solutions of Little Rock, the nonprofit formerly known as Arkansas Lighthouse for the Blind.

Walker will serve as the spokesperson for the Little Rock facility, which employs people who are blind or visually impaired. He will also oversee development strategies, special event planning and marketing strategy, as well as lead Bingo for Bags, the organization’s annual fundraiser.

Walker has 18 years of experience in sales and fund development. He graduated from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia with a bachelor’s degree in education in 1994. He was director of development for the College of Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from 2007 to 2014 and was director of resource development for the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund from 2014 to 2015. Walker also worked as a fundraising and development consultant before joining DataPath Inc. as business relationship manager. He most recently was director of development for the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, where he led fundraising initiatives and created marketing plans.
